Leischner Golf Tournament Champions

Chris and I have been playing this golf tournament every year for the past seven years.  We have come close to winning a couple times, but never did it.  That all changed with our all-star team this year.  It was myself, Bryan Scheffers, Chris Flinn, and Zach Flinn.  We shot a 59, it was a four man scramble.  It felt good to shoot like Phil or Tiger (from last year).  Enjoy the photos.  Zach and Bryan were hitting puts like crazy and this really put us over the edge.  Chris and I hit the long ball well a couple times.  It was really an equal effort this year.

Chamber’s Bay Golf Course

Last Updated on Tuesday, 12 May 2009 02:10 Written by akpace Tuesday, 12 May 2009 02:10

Yesterday, Andrew, my Dad, and I went to play one of the most fun golf courses I have ever been on.  Chamber’s Bay is an incredibly challenging links type golf course along the Puget Sound.  It was a beautiful day except for three holes where we had to endure a terrential downpour that culminated in Andrew throwing his driver about 60 yards, but still managed to hit a decent shot.  Notice Andrew is in shorts and a T-shirt.  I won’t give out our scores here but… we lost about a dozen balls between the 3 of us, some of them only feet off the fairway in some really deep rough.  We had to play some balls out of “pot bunkers” which are these really deep holes that can be hundreds of yards from the green and there is nothing you can do but hit a little wedge out.  We all highly recommend the course but make sure you go when they have a discount price.  Enjoy the photos and more are linked.

Derm Golf Outing

9/6/08 – The first annual Dermatology golf outing and BBQ. Dr. Eilers won the round with a 41. A pretty good showing. Dr. Eilers also took closest to the pin on the first par 3, then on the sixth, I took longest drive, just a tad shy of 300, and Katie finished strong taking longest put on the last hole. Not a better way to spend a Saturday morning. I stole Tricia’s photos from golfing and posted those as well. After golfing we headed over to Katie’s house to have a little BBQ. The party started off nice with some good home cookin’ but rapidly degraded with a few beers into some pretty competitive rounds of corn hole. A good showing by residents and faculty. Video and photos are below.
