Just a quick update on our garden. Ashlee just plucked out a 4 pound 15 ounce squash. The funny part is we thought it was a zucchini and tried to cook as such. It didn’t turn out very good, but after we figured out that it was a squash we turned it into some delicious squash soup.

8/5/08 – Ashlee plucks a ginormous eggplant from her garden. Check out the huge eggplant bushes covering up my holly in the background. She not only had to fertilize, water, and repell bugs. She also had to repell vegetable eating critters including our youngest dog who devoured a patch of carrots and brussell sprouts in a single sitting. By the way the eggplant was delicious. We just ate it grilled, next time we are going to have eggplant parmesan.
