Nadia’s birthday was today. She turned three. She got to have a little egg nog, a whole bunch of peanut brittle and some cake. Enjoy the video of Hannah wishing Yayo happy birthday and singing to her.

Learn MoreHappy Birthday Aaron!

Yesterday was my love Aaron’s 29th birthday! There is a cute video of Hannah wishing him and Nadia happy birthday too. Yes, I know I am older AND I have NO problem with that. Once Aaron got home from work Hannah and I had a fabulous sushi dinner waiting for him. After opening his presents (I think I get more excited than he does) we finished the celebration with ice cream cake. Aaron loves his ice cream cake-he asks at every birthday party if they are having ice cream cake. Of course everyone always says no. He even wanted an ice cream cake for our wedding. I told him no, but he made me ask everyone. Can I tell you how embarrassing that was? Needless to say, we did not have ice cream cake for our wedding. Thank God, can you imagine?!?!? Aaron then ventured out to visit new Baby Grant (born to a fellow resident) who shares his birthday, he was so excited to meet him. Then he was off to play in his racquetball league. He said he had a great birthday! Here’s to another great year with you blessing Hannah, Little Peanut, Yayo and Dinder’s and my life. We love you so very much and are honored to call you our daddy and partner for life. Love your FIVE girls. Oh, My!!!

Sunscreen

Ok, so I am not the Dermatologist, but I have to share one of my favorite things: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer® Body Mist Sunblock in SPF 30, 45 & 70.

Did you know that you are susposed to wear sunscreen everyday and the only time that you do not need to reapply your sunscreen is when you need a flashlight? Yep! After I get out of the shower I simple spray the 70 all over (yes, we are a pastie white family, but we are going to look oh so good in 20 years) and then get dressed. So simple, my hands stay clean and I can easily get my neck, shoulders and back…and it only seconds. I still use a good moisturizer with 45 SPF for my face. Are you going to look good in 20 years or are you going to look old, wrinkly, saggy and spotty? (Aaron may be rubbing off on me.)
Kicks

About two or three weeks ago I started feeling Baby Pace #2 making small kicks. I honestly believe that feeling your child move is one of the very best feelings. There is nothing like it. Since I am 21 weeks, she is still tiny so the kicks don’t hurt and I am not trying to push her away from my ribs and lungs like I did with Hannah when I was further along. These are still enjoyable. Aaron actually got to feel her tiny feet last week when we were reading in bed. I was not sure what his reaction would be since he had been through this before. I asked if he wanted to feel her kicking and he said, “Really?”. He scooted over and placed his hand on my tummy and at the exact time daddy’s hand was there, she gave him a good kick. His response, “Ah, that’s my baby!” Too cute. I did not tell him that made my day, but I guess if he reads this he will know. I got teary last week when I felt her kicking, this time it is totally different because I can actually picture a tiny Hannah inside swimming all around.
Sorry for the bad picture, I took this in the middle of the night while I was feeding Hannah. I thought her little feet sticking out were too cute.
Update: Massive Zucchini

Just a quick update on our garden. Ashlee just plucked out a 4 pound 15 ounce squash. The funny part is we thought it was a zucchini and tried to cook as such. It didn’t turn out very good, but after we figured out that it was a squash we turned it into some delicious squash soup.

Ashlee has been working hard in a little vegetable patch this year. I picked some of the fruits of her labor. Four giant zucchini, a cucumber, and several mild peppers. The biggest zucchini weighed in at a whopping 4lbs 14oz. I put the gloves in the photo for perspective. I have yet to eat any of it, but will let you know how it tastes.
